NETPRINT.EXE
NETPRINT.EXE is a Novell utility that copies print job
configurations from the supervisor's mail directory to every other
directory in mail, or in other words to all the users on the
network.
So, the supervisor signs in as supervisor and creates the
print job configurations they want the users to have. Saves it and
exits PRINTCON. Then you run NETPRINT.EXE, from any drive, and it
copies the supervisor's configuration to all the users, listing the
MAIL subdirectories it is coping to.
It can be ran from any drive, but it looks for the MAIL
directory on the F: drive. If you do not have a network drive F:
it will ask what drive letter it should use instead. The program
simply checks to see if there is a MAIL directory off of root on
drive F:.
If a PRINTCON.DAT file exists, then it is renamed with a .BAK
extension and saved. This way, if a user already has a
configuration they like better, or fills their needs more
completely than the general one created by the supervisor, then the
supervisor can go back and restore the original configuration for
the user.
No warranty is, of course, implied, and any user is free to
use the software at their own risk. It was written by Brian
Sandlin, and uploaded by Errett Sandlin, 76244,2755. Constructive
comments are welcome.
